Inside Seinajoki University classroom

Dean of the School of Gerontology introducing me to the students.

Monday morning, 50 students majoring in Gerontology filled the classroom, full of anticipation and ready to learn. Approximently 50 % were first and second year students, 25% were juniors and 25% were seniors who are in the process of their clinical internships or had completed their clinical fieldwork and utilized the TTAP method in their thesis. All of these graduates had found positive and significant results, which I was extemelly pleased with. The students who have utilized the TTAP method will be presenting their research tomorrow and I hope to capture some of it on video for you to view.

These were the topics covered today:

1.HOW THE BRAIN IS STRUCTURED AND THE FUNCTIONING OF EACH REGION

In the ABOVE PHOTO, you will notice students working using brain maps, an exercize which helps students recognize brain regions and specific brain functioning within the region.

2. HOW WE USE THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDE OF OUR BRAIN, WITHOUT THINKING!

In this exercise, students experience how it "feels" to use the non-dominate area of the brain to draw a simple figures.

3. PERSONAL TTAP EXPERIENCIAL AFTER A GUIDED IMAGERY SESSION:

All individuals utilize the same art materials, but the outcomes are as different as we are people.

  1. This is so great! Congratulations. It would be great to have the students make commentaries on their day. I'm sure they have would have a lot to say about their experiences.
